Mission and Program Overview

Mission

Coalition for epidemic preparedness innovations us ("cepi us") was organized for several purposes:(1) to educate the american public about the importance of developing vaccines to combat future global epidemics (see schedule o)and cepi's goals of coordinating the development of such vaccines;(2) to coordinate the efforts of cepi's partners that are located in the us, including private foundations, industry, trade associations, academic and research institutions, and other not-for-profits; and,(3) to advocate for support, including potential funding for cepi us by the u.s. Government.

An international coalition formed to coordinate the development of vaccines to (see schedule o) combat future worldwide epidemics.

Management works with an outside accounting firm to prepare the form 990. Once prepared, the board of directors meets to review and approve the entire form 990 prior to filing with the internal revenue service.

Cepi us has adopted the conflict of interest policies and procedures of cepi norway. Cepi us board members review any potential conflicts of interest on an annual basis during the board meeting and are asked to report any new conflicts at that time. Cepi employees are also subject to this policy.

For the top individual or individuals with ultimate responsibility for implementing the decisions of cepi us's board of directors, as well as officers and key employees of the organization, cepi us implements review and approval of compensation by independent persons using comparability data. WE ARE AN INNOVATIVE GLOBAL PARTNERSHIP BETWEEN PUBLIC, PRIVATE, PHILANTHROPIC, AND CIVIL SOCIETY ORGANIZATIONS WORKING TO ACCELERATE THE DEVELOPMENT OF VACCINES AGAINST EMERGING INFECTIOUS DISEASES AND ENABLE EQUITABLE ACCESS TO THESE VACCINES FOR AFFECTED POPULATIONS DURING OUTBREAKS.
