The board reviewed the executive director compensation of similar non-profit organizations within the region, as well as considered the compensation of k-12 executives (i.e. Superintendents and similar positions) as this sector is in direct connection to the work of flourish. Using data from those markets, the board was able to determine a salary that was felt would attract and retain a qualified executive director.
