“The draft version of the form 990 and related state filings are prepared by an independant cpa firm in cooperation with the organziation's board and management. Drafts of all forms are submitted to the officers of the governing board for their review. The officers review the forms for accuracy and completeness and make a recommendation to the board that the forms be approved and submitted for filing with the respective tax authorities. Before submission, board members are offered the opportunity to review the draft forms if they elect.”
“The purpose of the conflict of interest policy is to protect this tax- exempt organizations (organization) interest when it is contemplating entering into a transaction or arrangement that might benefit the private interest of an officer or director of the organization or might result in a possible excess benefit transaction. This policy is intended to supplement but not replace any applicable state and federal laws governing conflict of interest applicable to nonprofit and charitable organizations. Each director, principal officer and member of a committee with governing board delegated powers shall annually sign a statement which affirms such person: a. Has received a copy of the conflicts of interest policy, b. Has read and understands the policy, c. Has agreed to comply with the policy, and d. Understands the organization is charitable and in order to maintain its federal tax exemption it must engage primarily in activities which accomplish one or more of its tax-exempt purposes. If the governing board or committee has reasonable cause to believe a member has failed to disclose actual or possible conflicts of interest, it shall inform the member of the basis for such belief and afford the member an opportunity to explain the alleged failure to disclose. If, after hearing the members response and after making further investigation as warranted by the circumstances, the governing board or committee determines the member has failed to disclose an actual or possible conflict of interest, it shall take appropriate disciplinary and corrective action.”
“The organization makes its governing documents, policies and form 990 available to the public on its website at www.route91strong.org. Documents are also available upon request.”

“Route91strong is a non-partisan, non-political, 501c3 nonprofit benefit corporation that is the conduit between the survivors of mass gun violence and the donors who care. Route91strong (r91s) raises funds and awareness through events, media, donations, collaborations, individuals, social media fundraisers, partnerships with nonprofit groups and big day of giving along with other community events. Our team is proud and appreciative to the 32 fundraisers, conducted through march 2019, and the generous donations that made it possible to offer financial assistance to meet the immediate needs of financial hardships of mass gun violence survivors. Co-founders brian claypool and lisa fine survived the route 91 harvest country music festival shooting in vegas that occurred on sunday, october 1, 2017. Alongside their team of fellow survivors and trusted experts, their overall goal is to raise millions of dollars needed in funds for the thousands of lives impacted by mass gun violence happening in americas schools, places of worship, airports, concerts, nightclubs, movie theaters and the workplace. These victims and survivors desperately need time to get their lives back on track after suffering through such horrors. Many of our applicants suffer from severe ptsd, are losing jobs, homes & sadly many are on suicide watch. Gun violence has lasting effects on those who experience this kind of trauma, such as physical & emotional injuries, a long challenging recovery process, trouble assimilating, and difficulty maintaining a 'normal' home and work life. Our team is dedicated to helping survivors of mass gun violence come together for "financial support, hope, strength, change, and love." route91strong has disbursed over 183,774 in funds in less than 16 months to over 74 applicants which includes 150+ family members (some have applied two times which is the limit) as we currently continue the long process of vetting the applicants in our queue for applicant disbursements with a goal to thrive as a nonprofit. We get applicants weekly and, as of now, have a steady 50+ in the queue on a regular basis as we help each one at a time. We are strategically planning for the future in order to help the anticipated 1000's of survivors, who will need our help given the current mass shooting atmosphere we now live in. As of march 2019, an additional 100,000 in funds are earmarked for disbursement to qualified recipients. R91s has developed a set of disbursement protocols (dps) to measure the financial and other needs and distress of applicants in order to distribute its available funds in as prompt and equitable a manner as possible. Our mass gun violence survivors provide copies of their financial hardship's documents through our application process for gifted funds available through our applicant disbursements protocols. The following steps outline the dps that r91s intends to utilize initially. R91s reserves the right to modify these dps over time as circumstances warrant and subsequent tragedies occur. Survivors must complete and submit the r91s application for assistance form and include proof of mass gun violence and proof of financial hardship, which may include medical records, receipts, contact info for physical/mental health care providers, invoices, statements, contact info for employer, employment records, pay stubs, and any other documentation that the survivor deems appropriate and helpful and that r91s deems satisfactory. We learn about our progress through the 100's of testimonials we receive from our applicants sharing with us how our financial assistance has positively impacted their lives by helping them with these immediate needs.”
