Mission

The mission of the support education foundation is to operate and support charitable giving programs for the benefit of members of the education community. Funds raised through the 501(c)(3) organization are used for programs such as student scholarships, professional development awards and other initiatives to help students achieve in the classroom. Together, we support education.

THROUGH THE GENEROUS DONATIONS MADE TO THE SUPPORT EDUCATION FOUNDATION, WE ARE ABLE TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE IN THE EDUCATION COMMUNITY BY PROVIDING STUDENT SCHOLARSHIPS, PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT AWARDS. WE ARE GRATEFUL FOR THE SUPPORT OF OUR MEMBERS, WHICH HELPS EDUCATORS AND STUDENTS ACHIEVE IN THE CLASSROOM AND CONTINUE THEIR EDUCATION.-$71,000
EACH YEAR, WE DONATE OVER 6,500 BACKPACKS FILLED WITH SCHOOL SUPPLIES TO MIDDLE SCHOOL STUDENTS. THE BACKPACKS ARE DISTRIBUTED AT BACK-TO-SCHOOL FAIRS AS WELL AS INDIVIDUAL SCHOOLS SO STUDENTS ARE READY FOR THEIR FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL.-$34,718

The mission of the support education foundation is to operate and support charitable giving programs for the benefit of members of the education community. Funds raised through the 501(c)(3) organization are used for programs such as student scholarships, professional development awards and other initiatives to help students achieve in the classroom. Together, we support education.

Form 990-ez, Part III, Line 28

Each year, we donate over 6,500 backpacks filled with school supplies to middle school students. The backpacks are distributed at back-to-school fairs as well as individual schools so students are ready for their first day of school.

We donate thousands of new hats, gloves, mittens, scarves, socks and personal care items to k-12 and community college students through our warming hearts and hands program. New winter accessories can be dropped off between october 21 and november 30 at one of the branches of educational systems federal credit union.
