“FORM 990-EZ, PART III, LINE 28, PROGRAM SERVICE ACCOMPLISHMENTS:MAAP operates a twice-weekly daytime drop-in resource and support space, with just over 4,000 visits from homeless and unstably housed community members in the current fiscal year. MAAP has operated safety, and uninterrupted during COVID-19, having pivoted some operations outside of our space. Participants drop-in to shop in our free store for clothing, hygiene supplies, small household goods, and survival supplies; access hot meals, food, and snacks; and use laptops and phones for telehealth and other necessary appointments and connection; and engage in our community organizing meetings. Increasingly MAAP also goes to where our community members are staying to offer support through street and encampment outreach. FORM 990-EZ, PART III, PRIMARY EXEMPT PURPOSE - Offer direct support (material aid,connection to resources, advocacy opportunities) to unhoused people in a low-threshold drop-in space.”
