To raise awareness and provide funds for social research. The institute pursues research and analysis on the pressing issues of our time that directly impact marginalized communities. It is a movement-driven institution focused on stimulating intellectual debate that serves people's aspirations. This mission is accomplished through weekly newsletters, monthly dossiers on specific topics of regional interest and/or global impact, through periodic working documents that consist of an extensive examination of a topic, and resources for further research, all of which are made available free to the public on the institute's website, as well as through the organization of conferences and seminars. In addition to frequent collaborations with scholars and other intellectuals around the world, the institute occasionally engages third party researchers through grants concerning discrete topics.
