(ii) the sponsoring or support of other activities to relieve the distress of, and to encourage the mentoring, counseling and support of, disaster victims who have suffered from the effects of hurricane irma or other natural or civic disasters or catastrophes, including by soliciting and receiving contributions, gifts, grants, devises and bequests, and applying the whole, or any part thereof, in support of such efforts. This fund was organized to support mvwc employees and others in communities in florida, puerto rico, and the us virgin islands affected by hurricanes irma and maria. These funds may potentially be used in the future should other natural disasters occur.”
