“Youth outreach in science, technology, engineering and math (stem) is a nonprofit organization whose aim is to empower underserved students nationally by educating them through hands-on stem experiences and engaging them in stem through independent ownership, to facilitate a competitive advantage in the marketplace to build wealth and positively impact society. Some of our projects include 3d design and printing, robotics, coding, and various chemistry and engineering projects just to name a few. We want students to have a fun experience exploring the vast range of what stem has to offer.”

One example of these programs is science fairs hosted by yo stem where students would complete science projects and present them to other students and staff. Also included are stem saturdays, in which students are guided through a stem related project, with examples ranging from observing cockroach behavior and creating diy ice cream.”

“Robotics - build-a-drone (bad) is here to expose middle school students to current stem professionals and feed their curiosity about the growing world of unmanned vehicle technology. This program implemented with stem mentors that have expertise in drone technology, and 10-12 middle school students. Students selected for the program meet bimonthly.”
