“Wellness program support groups: provided culturally adaptive and trauma-responsive psycho-social support and wellness. Equipped women with skills and knowledge to navigate cultural norms and differences. Offered monthly support groups, serving 145 refugee and migrant women, fostering resilience, reducing isolation, and promoting well-being. Topics included wellness, disaster preparedness, relationship safety, and volunteering. Provided families with resources, food, interpretation and childcare services, and more. Participated in post-hurricane disaster relief efforts, providing over 300 essential needs kits and disaster recovery resources to 50+ families. Wellness program: reach conducted a 6-week mental health support program (reach) for 19 women in hillsborough and pinellas counties, providing critical therapist-led mental health support, integrated education, and peer support to navigate post-resettlement stressors. Participated in post-hurricane disaster relief efforts, providing menta health crisis support. Economic development - sew much hope: provided training and economic empowerment initiatives for refugee and migrant women. Created access to economic development opportunities. Enabled 10 women to generate income through micro-enterprise opportunities, including local sales and vendor events. Participant promoted to workshop leader, increasing responsibility and earnings. The women empowerment and leadership institute delivered health and wellness leadership workshops, facilitated connections with local leaders, graduated a third cohort of 10 women, and participated in hurricane recovery efforts. Approximately 403.5 hours of service were provided by 14 support staff.”
