“The Finance/Audit and Compliance Committee chair person is responsible for having the annual Form 990 prepared in a timely manner prior to the due date of the form 990. This Committee chair person sends out the completed Form 990 to all members of the Board of Directors (BOD) and company officers via email for their review and comment prior to the filing of the form 990. All comments and questions from the BOD and officers are addressed by the Committee chair person prior to the filing of the final form 990 with the IRS.”

“All members of the Board of Directors (BOD), all company officers and all key employees are required to review, complete and sign the company's Annual Affirmation and Conflict of Interest Statement in the 1st quarter of each year. This statement is how any conflicts of interest with the company's operations are disclosed to the company. The chair person of the Finance/Audit and Compliance Committee reviews the statements for compliance. When new BOD members, officers or key employees join the company, they are required to complete the Annual Affirmation and Conflict of Interest Statement upon their start date.”

“The company maintains a copy of its annual financial statements, filed annual forms 990, conflict of interest policy and its Form 1023 with the company's manager of operations and are available for review upon request by calling the company's phone (214) 701-2343 or by mail at its mailing address listed on page 1 of the company's form 990 and on its website www.igniscommunity.org. The company also places the most recently filed annual form 990 on the company's website for review by the public.”

“Due to the Global COVID pandemic, the Democratic Peoples Republic of Korea (DPRK) closed its border for substantially all of 2024 (except for certain Chinese and Russian citizens). The DPRK reopened the border briefly to foreigners in February 2025 and closed it again one month later in March 2025. The border remains closed to all organizations and people other than Chinese and Russian organizations or people due to COVID and other restrictions as of the date of this Form 990 filing with no definitive date of reopening the border to organizations or people from other countries. Ignis Community had to temporarily adjust its humanitarian project execution, shoe distribution program and our work with the Pyongyang Spine Rehabilitation Center (PYSRC) due to the border restrictions and closure. However, Ignis Community continues to be in contact with the local authorities in Northeast Asia and will continue to provide assistance within the scope of these program services in 2025 using legal and acceptable means within its licensure approved by the US Treasury Dept. (OFAC) and US Commerce Dept. and in compliance with the United Nations sanctions exemption issued to Ignis Community.”
