“In-school services (ins) providing computer science classes to k-8 students in the sto-rox school district, clairton school district, duquesne school district, propel schools, and the pittsburgh public school district. During the school day, working with math and science teachers to integrate computer science into their students' regular school day. In the sto-rox school district we provided seventeen classes per week to students in grades 3-6. Students in 3rd grade explored computer programming/coding using the scratch coding language; 4th grade worked on robotics using finch robots; 5th grade focused on learning how to set up a webpage using html and css coding languages; 6th grade learned how to develop an app working on teams to research the need, the audience, and the basics of setting up an app. During the app development process, students learned how to work collaboratively and how to do online research.”
