“Additionally, harrington center for the arts produces the following programing: chalk it up is a free, three day chalk art festival in which local amateur and professional chalk artists spend hours transforming sidewalks in american fork into a captivating, one-of-a-kind experience. Empowering women in the arts mentorship program: connects young female creatives for one-on-one instruction and career training through technical instruction and providing the tools and industry contacts necessary to turn a hobby into a viable career. The walls: a biannual art exhibition that is a first of its kind in our community and provides opportunities for the public and artists alike to enjoy an "outside art museum" with murals painted by local, professional and amateur artists. EMPOWERING WOMEN IN THE ARTS MENTORSHIP PROGRAM: CONNECTS YOUNG FEMALE CREATIVES FOR ONE-ON-ONE INSTRUCTION AND CAREER TRAINING THROUGH TECHNICAL INSTRUCTION AND PROVIDING THE TOOLS AND INDUSTRY CONTACTS NECESSARY TO TURN A HOBBY INTO A VIABLE CAREER. THE WALLS: A BIANNUAL ART EXHIBITION THAT IS A FIRST OF ITS KIND IN OUR COMMUNITY AND PROVIDES OPPORTUNITIES FOR THE PUBLIC AND ARTISTS ALIKE TO ENJOY AN "OUTSIDE ART MUSEUM" WITH MURALS PAINTED BY LOCAL, PROFESSIONAL AND AMATEUR ARTISTS. EXPLORATION OF NEW WORKS: CONNECTS ASPIRING LOCAL PLAYWRIGHTS AND WRITERS WITH ARTS PROFESSIONALS TO HELP THEM REALIZE THEIR ARTISTIC VISION AND STAGE NEW PLAYS AND MUSICALS FOR PUBLIC CONCERT PERFORMANCE. |
