Collective Effect

Collective Effect exists to empower communities facing extreme poverty. In 2021, we focused on two programs: 1. Water project in Iriri, Uganda, and 2. Akenna Home: transitional home for street children in Entebbe, Uganda. The water project consisted of drilling two borehole locations in a dry area of Karamoja. The drillings failed due to lack of water in the area. During drilling, we conducted a medical clinic for the community and treated over 150 women and children. Most illness were due to malaria and water borne diseases. (Total Cost: $15,540.72) Due to the shutdown of schools, we created a homeschool program for the kids in the Akenna Home. We funded education for 21 children in the home along with medical care, nutritional food, and a safe home during the pandemic. (Total Cost: $23650.67)

Collective Effect exists to empower communities facing extreme poverty; providing basic human rights to children and families living in fragile communities through medical care, education, clean water, and nutrition. In 2022, we focused on one program, to care for children who were rescued from abuse and trafficking and help they as they journey into a season of rehabilitation.
