Form 990, Page 2, Part III, Line 4A

2019 was a busy year for the mahoney house (tmh). In 2019, tmh significantly expanded programming and services offered to victims of domestic violence, stalking, and sexual assault. There was an increase in new clients of 28%, which belies the effectiveness of outreach efforts and the increasing recognition and reputation of the organization within the community. There was also an increase in individual counseling services of 29%; this is a vital service that more and more survivors are accessing. Tmh also had 87 volunteers donate 989 hours of service. Tmh's social- emotional learning program expanded from serving 4-8th graders in the local public school to including all 1st-3rd graders as well. Tmh began three distinct peer-to-peer support and social groups that meet monthly to connect moms, survivors of sexual assault, and victims of domestic violence. The mahoney house held many successful events, including spring and fall baked potato fundraisers, community corn hole tournaments, and silent witness awareness campaign, highlighting the damage caused by domestic violence within the state of idaho. Tmh launched several series of events aimed at engaging community members in learning and promoting the 5 protective factors and strong curriculum. One series holds monthly presentations, while the other provides bi-weekly interactive learning experiences. In 2019 the mahoney house served 230 clients, 89 of whom were new to the organization and had never received services here before. Of these, 23% were seeking services for sexual assault-related incidences. Of the total clients, 17% were male, 83% female, 19% were minors while 11 % were over age 60. 63% of victims endorsed multiple victimizations and 18.7% endorsed having a disability. 100% of clients served were from rural communities. Tmh serves the residents of both lemhi and custer counties. Together, they cover approximately 9,000 square miles with a population density of 1 person per square mile. Per census data, median household income is approximately 34,000, with 16.9% of the population living below the federal poverty line. Within the service area, the median male annual income is 66% higher than the median female income. Racially, the services area is 96.4% white, .7% native, and 2.9% other races with 3.15% identifying as hispanic or latinx origin. Of the clients served by tmh, 43% did not graduate from high school and 49.5% reported at the time of intake making less than 8000 annually, with 12.3% reporting homelessness.
