Financial Statement Notes

Part X : FIN48 Footnote

The organization adopted the provisions of fasb asc 740-10-25 (fin 48) on january 1, 2009. Under fin 48, an organization must recognize the tax benefit associated with a position taken for tax return purposes when it is more likely than not the position will be sustained. The implementation of fin 48 had no impact on the orgainzation's financial statements. The organization does not believe there are any material uncertain tax positions and, accordingly, it will not recognize any liability for unrecognized tax benefits. No interest or penalties were accrued as of january 1, 2009, as a result of the adoption of fin 48. For the year ended december 31, 2017, there are no interest or penalties

UNDER FIN 48, AN ORGANIZATION MUST RECOGNIZE THE TAX BENEFIT ASSOCIATED WITH A POSITION TAKEN FOR TAX RETURN PURPOSES WHEN IT IS MORE LIKELY THAN NOT THE POSITION WILL BE SUSTAINED. THE IMPLEMENTATION OF FIN 48 HAD NO IMPACT ON THE ORGAINZATION'S FINANCIAL STATEMENTS. THE ORGANIZATION DOES NOT BELIEVE THERE ARE ANY MATERIAL UNCERTAIN TAX POSITIONS AND, ACCORDINGLY, IT WILL NOT RECOGNIZE ANY LIABILITY FOR UNRECOGNIZED TAX BENEFITS.
