“Selkirk conservation alliance (sca) is a regional conservation organization with a focus on the natural resources of the southern selkirk mountains in the idaho panhandle. Including but not limited to mountain caribou and grizzly habitat, controlling milfoil in the area's lakes, and working with various federal and state agencies to maximize environmental protection.”

“Water quality monitoring: the organization has been monitoring water quality on priest lake since 1998 in conjunction with deq. The goal is to accumulate baseline data that may lead to early detection of detrimental environmental impacts.”

“Wildlife conservation: sca is in its 30th year of monitoring human/machine intrusion into protected recovery habitats. The main focus recently has been to join forces with local tribes and canadian environmental organizations to repopulate the woodland caribou in the priest lake, id area.”
