“Whereas, the federal government added additional requirements for all contractors hired by high country to be registered in the government's "system for awards management, sam.gov", and whereas, the board has determined that high country should assist, where we can in growing the forest industry in southeast idaho, and whereas many of our small contractors do not have the knowledge and or the capacity to enable them to register in sam.gov or other registries required by local, state, and federal agencies, and whereas, high country has the expertise, we are expanding our mission to include education and assistance to small businesses within our expanded service area, upon approval of the board of directors.”
