“Whereas, the federal government added additional requirements for all contractors hired by high country to be registered in the government's "system for awards management, sam.gov", and whereas, the board has determined that high country should assist, where we can in growing the forest industry in southeast idaho, and whereas many of our small contractors do not have the knowledge and or the capacity to enable them to register in sam.gov or other registries required by local, state, and federal agencies, and whereas, high country has the expertise, we are expanding our mission to include education and assistance to small businesses within our expanded service area, upon approval of the board of directors.”

Whereas the rc&ds who adjoined high country have ceased to exist, and whereas high country has been receiving requests from assistance from the areas that had been covered by these defunct rc&ds, and whereas high country stated on their irs 1023 form that they would only be working in nine counties, high country has amended their bylaws to work outside the original nine counties on a case-by-case basis, as approved by the board of directors.”
