“The center owns a collection of art and artifacts relating to the basque culture. Among these is an oil painting by the artist archie teeter, and various other furnishings, paintings, and art work that fill the museum building, an old basque boardinghouse and adjacent building. Many of the items were donated to the center. In conformity with the practice followed by many museums, art objects and artifacts, whether purchased or donated, are not included in the statement of financial position. During the year ended december 31, 2013, no items were donated or deaccessioned through sale.”

“COLLECTIONS TYPES1) The Permanent Collections - containing those objects which directly support the mission of the Museum and its primary collecting goals as a resource to the public.2) The Educational Collection (Props) limited supplemental materials that can be handled and used for educational purposes (typically, reproductions or modern replicas of artifacts).3) The Temporary Collections (Loan items) - either for research or for exhibition. Collections Categories-Books (magazines, books, pamphlets)-Archives (organizational working papers, publicity, media clippings, correspondence, personal papers)-Objects (historic, cultural, artistic)-Photos (slides, prints, negatives, digital storage cards, films)The collections of the basque musuem and cultural center are the foundation for the Museum's programs and the vehicle through which the Museum carries out its mission to educate the public.”

“1) To provide funds and support for the stated purposes of the Basque Museum and Cultural Center; 2) To provide funds and support for educational projects sponsored by the corporation; 3) To provide funds for the leasing and/or acquisition of Basque-oriented items of historical interest, including books, recordings, photographs, and other personal property of every kind and character; 4)To provide funds for the repair, maintenance, remodeling and construction of improvements on the properties of the corporation, and for the acquisition of new real property on behalf of the corporation.”
