Financial Statement Notes

Part IV, Line 2B: Explanation of escrow account liability

The organization maintains security deposit accounts for their tenants.

Part X : FIN48 Footnote

The Organization qualifies as a tax-exempt organization under Section 501(c)3 of the Internal Revenue Code and, therefore, has no provision for federal income taxes. In accordance with generally accepted accounting principles, the organization is required to disclose certain information regarding potential liabilities regarding its tax positions it currently takes or has taken in prior years. Currently, there are no unrecognized tax benefits or liabilities that need to be recognized during the current year or due to a tax position taken in a prior year. If the organization were to have a potential liability for such taxes, it would also accrue interest and penalties as a liability in the financial statements. The organization expects no recognized tax benefits that will be incurred within the next year of the date of these financial statements. The Organization believes it is no longer subject to income tax examinations for three years prior to the current year.

THE SERVICES AND PROGRAMS THAT FALL WITHIN OUR SOCIAL SERVICE BRANCH ARE: EMERGENCY ASSISTANCE, HOMELESS PREVENTION, EMERGENCY SHELTER, WARMING CENTER, CASE MANAGEMENT, VETERANS COUNSELING AND SERVICE, PAYEE SERVICES, CAREER COUNSELING, HOUSING FIRST, ICARE - PARENT INFORMATION RESOURCE CENTER AND HOME OUTREACH.THE WARMING SHELTER IS AVAILABLE FOR FRIENDS AND NEIGHBORS IN OUR COMMUNITY WHO HAVE FALLEN ON HARD TIMES. WHEN THE TEMPERATURE DIPS BELOW 28 DEGREES, IT IS OPEN FOR ANYONE WHO DOES NOT HAVE PROTECTION FROM THE COLD, WIND, AND SNOW. THE WARMING SHELTER CAN ACCOMODATE 60 PEOPLE.

ONE IS FOR SINGLES, ONE FOR FAMILIES AND THE THIRD AND FOURTH GRANTS ARE FOR SINGLES AND FAMILIES. THESE PROGRAMS OFFER PARENTING CLASSES, FINANCIAL/BUDGETING CLASSES, JOB SEEKING AND JOB COUNSELING CLASSES AND INTENSE CASE MANAGEMENT. THE GOAL IS TO HAVE EACH PARTICIPANT BECOME SELF-SUFFICIENT.
IRS990/ProgSrvcAccomActyOtherGrp/Desc2TRINITY GROUP HOMES - THIS IS A PROGRAM THAT STARTED IN NOVEMBER 2015. IT PROVIDES TRANSITIONAL HOUSING FOR THE MENTALLY ILL AND UNDERPRIVILEGED WHO ARE ABLE TO LIVE IN GROUP HOMES. THERE ARE FIVE DIFFERENT HOUSING FACILITIES FOR THIS PROGRAM.

VINCENT DE PAUL'S VETERANS SERVICES PROGRAM AIDS VETERANS AND THEIR FAMILIES IN THEIR TIME OF NEED, AS WELL AS HELPS WITH ANY CONCERNS REGARDING EDUCATIONAL BENEFITS AND ENTITLEMENTS. VETERANS CAN RECEIVE THE SAVE SERVICES THAT OUR NON-VETERAN HOMELESS AND LOW-INCOME CLIENTS RECEIVE, SUCH AS EMERGENCY ASSISTANCE, FOOD, SHELTER, AND HOUSING. HOWEVER, WE WILL ASLO PROVIDE ASSISTANCE WITH OTHER VA RELATED ITEMS. A CASE MANAGER COPIES VETERAN RELATED DOCUMENTS, PROVIDES ADMINISTRATIVE HELP WITH VA COMMUNICATION, ASSISTS AN UNEMPLOYED VETERAN WITH A JOB SEARCH, AND MAINTAINS A FILE OF THEIR IMPORTANT DOCUMENTS. TRANSPORTATION TO THE VA MEDICAL CENTER IN SPOKANE FOR MEDICAL TREATMENT IS ALSO AVAILABLE.
