The organization has two types of membership consisting of regular members and associate members. Persons engaged in the production of agricultural products, including tenants or landlords of land used for the production of such products may become regular members in the idaho farm bureau federation, inc. (ifbf) other persons and organizations interested in agriculture may become associate members. Associate members are entitled to all rights and privileges of active membership, but shall not be eligible to serve as officers of the farm bureau or be entitled to vote in any farm bureau meetings.

The organization has two types of membership consisting of regular members and associate members. Persons engaged in the production of agricultural products, including tenants or landlords of land used for the production of such products may become regular members in the idaho farm bureau federation, inc. (ifbf) other persons and organizations interested in agriculture may become associate members. Associate members are entitled to all rights and privileges of active membership, but shall not be eligible to serve as officers of the farm bureau or be entitled to vote in any farm bureau meetings. The board of directors shall establish districts as units of representation and determine the number of directors from each district. The voting delegates as elected by the county farm bureaus shall assemble in caucus at the annual meeting of the ifbf and elect directors from nominations certified in writing by the county presidents in each district. The members of each county farm bureau shall be represented in all meetings of the ifbf by voting delegates. County farm bureaus having a paid-up membership with the ifbf of fifteen members shall be entitled to seat only one voting delegate at any time. County farm bureaus having 50 or more paid-up memberships in the ifbf may seat only two voting delegates at any time. Voting delegates and alternates of the county farm bureaus shall be elected from and by the regular members in good standing in such county, at the annual meeting of the county farm bureau, except that the regular members present in such meeting may determine that the delegates be elected by the board of directors of the county farm bureaus.

The staff meets with state government agencies to promote a favorable environment for our members. THE MEMBERS OF EACH COUNTY FARM BUREAU SHALL BE REPRESENTED IN ALL MEETINGS OF THE IFBF BY VOTING DELEGATES. COUNTY FARM BUREAUS HAVING A PAID-UP MEMBERSHIP WITH THE IFBF OF FIFTEEN MEMBERS SHALL BE ENTITLED TO SEAT ONLY ONE VOTING DELEGATE AT ANY TIME. COUNTY FARM BUREAUS HAVING 50 OR MORE PAID-UP MEMBERSHIPS IN THE IFBF MAY SEAT ONLY TWO VOTING DELEGATES AT ANY TIME. VOTING DELEGATES AND ALTERNATES OF THE COUNTY FARM BUREAUS SHALL BE ELECTED FROM AND BY THE REGULAR MEMBERS IN GOOD STANDING IN SUCH COUNTY, AT THE ANNUAL MEETING OF THE COUNTY FARM BUREAU, EXCEPT THAT THE REGULAR MEMBERS PRESENT IN SUCH MEETING MAY DETERMINE THAT THE DELEGATES BE ELECTED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE COUNTY FARM BUREAUS.
