THIS PROGRAM ALLOWS ANYONE WITH ACCESS TO THE INTERNET THE ABILITY TO SHOP ONLINE AND PROVIDE HOUSEWARMING GIFTS TO NEW ARRIVALS TO THE UNITED STATES TO "SURVIVE, HIVE, AND THRIVE" IN THEIR NEW HOME. MIRY'S LIST NEEDS TO SIGNIFICANTLY EXPAND THE CAPACITY OF ITS WISHLIST PROGRAM TO MEET THE RAPIDLY INCREASING DEMAND OF RESETTLING REFUGEE FAMILIES THIS INCLUDES THE DEVELOPMENT OF A CUSTOMIZED WEB PLATFORM, SUPPORT FOR INCREASED CASE MANAGEMENT SERVICES, AND TRAINING AND SUPPORT FOR OUR VOLUNTEER LISTMAKERS.. AS OUR FLAGSHIP PROGRAM, WISHLISTS BY MIRY'S LIST HAS SUPPORTED OVER 400 NEW ARRIVAL FAMILIES IN MAINTAINING DIGNITY AS THEY START THEIR NEW LIVES IN THE UNITED STATES, AND HAS PROVIDED A SIMPLE AND ENJOYABLE MECHANISM FOR AMERICAN PEOPLE TO DIRECTLY WELCOME THESE FAMILIES TO THEIR NEW HOMES. .WISHLIST BY MIRY'S LIST IS IMPLEMENTED IN THREE STEPS. DURING STEP 1, ENROLLMENT, MIRY'S LIST FAMILY SERVICES MEETS A NEWLY ARRIVED REFUGEE FAMILY TYPICALLY LIVING IN A SCANTILY-FURNISHED OR UNFURNISHED APARTMENT OR MOTEL ROOM. WE COLLECT FAMILY INFORMATION AND MAKE A LIST OF THE THINGS THEY NEED TO FILL THEIR HOME. SHIPPING IS FREE, THEY CAN WRITE A GIFT MESSAGE, AND PACKAGES ARE SENT DIRECTLY TO THE FAMILY'S DOOR..WISHLISTS BY MIRY'S LIST ADDRESSES A FULL SPECTRUM OF THINGS THAT PEOPLE NEED IN THEIR FIRST HOME IN A NEW COUNTRY. FINALLY, DURING STEP 3, SHARE, THE LIST IS PUBLISHED AND MADE AVAILABLE TO OUR NETWORK OF GENEROUS DONORS WHO WANT TO HELP BY PURCHASING GIFTS FOR FAMILIES. SHIPPING IS FREE, THEY CAN WRITE A GIFT MESSAGE, AND PACKAGES ARE SENT DIRECTLY TO THE FAMILY'S DOOR..WISHLISTS BY MIRY'S LIST ADDRESSES A FULL SPECTRUM OF THINGS THAT PEOPLE NEED IN THEIR FIRST HOME IN A NEW COUNTRY.
