Mission

Our west bayfront's mission is to enhance the quality of life in erie's west bayfront neighborhoods by promoting civic involvement, thoughtful development, historical preservation, and neighborhood pride. Owb's core activities including improving housing conditions by assisting property owners with repairs, eliminating blight, enhancing public parks and vacant lots, improving safety and security, and coordinating activities and events that strengthen neighborhood relationships.

Part X : FIN48 Footnote

The organization is exempt from income tax under section 501(c)3 of the us internal revenue code and has been determined to be an organization which is not a private foundation. Contributions to it qualify for deduction under the internal revenue code. The organiztion believes that it has no unrelated business activities subject to tax and appropriate support for all tax positions taken, and, as such, does not have any uncertain tax position that are material to the financial statements.

OWB WORKED WITH THE CITY OF ERIE TO BEGIN IMPROVEMENTS TO BAYVIEW PARK, INCLUDING INSTALLATION OF A NEW "SPLASH" PAD FOR CHILDREN. OWB CONSTRUCTED A POCKET PARK ON A LOT THAT HAD PREVIOUSLY BEEN OCCUPIED BY A BLIGHTED BUILDING, AND WORKED WITH PARTNERS TO ORGANIZE EIGHT FREE COMMUNITY EVENTS THAT ATTRACTED OVER 2,000 PARTICIPANTS.
