“True health initiatives purpose is to make the fundamental truths about healthy, sustainable living and eating common knowledge. Change the global understanding of the lifestyle practices that are most likely to help people live longer and live healthier. Establish the vision of a world with less chronic disease, and then support individuals and communities in directing their resources toward that goal. Our beliefs are that a unified voice for the evidence-based fundamental principles of lifestyle as medicine will rise above the din of fake news in an era of post truth. This global voice will offer clarity and trust for individuals actively pursuing healthy, sustainable eating and living. What do we hope to do? Provide a platform for world renowned health experts to debate, disseminate, and demonstrate lifestyle as medicine in practical ways. Create opportunities for research that will fill gaps, clarify issues, and increase trust in lifestyle practice, knowledge and its impact on chronic diseases. Develop global multi-media awareness and education campaign. Become the authoritative source on lifestyle as medicine for news, academic curriculum, and consumer inquiries. In 2020 we began work on our recognizing excellence in advancing health literacy (reahl) award, to be awarded in 2021. This award recognizes leaders in journalism who empower people with understanding to overcome threats to their health-based science, sense and global consensus of content experts.we advanced our work on dietary impacts of environmental measures (diem) to advance the development of an overall measure of environmental impact at the level of dietary pattern. In 2019, better theraputics made a donation to the organization. In 2020, due to the pandemic and concerns for their cash flow, better theraputics asked to have $28,000 of their donation returned. True health initiative complied. This return of donation is reflected in the total amount of donations per the income statement. Schedule b correctly reflects the 2020 donations greater than $5,000.”

Critics frequently point out alleged flaws in the seminal study in order to contest its primary dietary finding, that saturated fat was correlated with heart disease, and call into question subsequent nutrition research. True health initiative commissioned this paper to explore the historical record and address the popular contentions with primary source material and related work, and in consultation with investigators directly involved. Popular criticisms directed at the study, and the lead investigator, ancel keys, turn out to be untrue when the primary source material is examined.”
