Financial Statement Notes

PART X, LINE 2:

The association follows the financial accounting standards board accounting standards codification (fasb asc), which provides guidance on accounting for uncertainty in income taxes recognized in the association's financial statements, if any. As of december 31, 2021 and 2020, the association had no unrecognized tax benefits related to uncertain tax positions in its information returns that would qualify for either recognition or disclosure in its consolidated financial statements. The association's policy would be to recognize interest and penalties on tax positions related to its unrecognized tax benefits in income tax expense in the consolidated financial statements. For the years ended december 31, 2021 and 2020, there were no matters that would have resulted in an accrual for interest or penalties. The association's information tax returns that have been filed for the years ended december 31, 2020, 2019, and 2018 are subject to examination by federal, state, or local tax authorities, generally for three years after they were filed.
