“Form 990, part vi, section a, line 1a: per the organization's bylaws the officers of the corporation shall have authority and shall exercise such powers and perform the duties per the bylaws and as may be additionally specified by the chair, board of directors, or bylaws, except that in any event each officer shall exercise such powers and perform such duties as may be required by law.”

“Form 990, part vi, section a, line 6: the organization has five classes of membership: producers, allied industry members, processors, retail members and civil society members.”

“Form 990, part vi, section a, line 7a: the association members and registrants shall elect the chair, chair-elect and a vice chair at the stakeholders congress.”

“Form 990, part vi, section a, line 7b: decisions of the working groups and committees are subject to approval by the board of directors. Amendments to repeal the bylaws requires approval from both the board of directors and then a majority vote of the full membership.”
