“Line 1-Organization s Mission To strengthen and promote the Jonesboro High School ensemble of bands, in conjunction with Jonesboro High School and Clayton County Board of Education, to provide for the financial and equipment needs of the band. Statement of Program Service Accomplishments, Line #28-The Jonesboro Majestic Marching Cardinals Band brings vibrant energy and excellence to every performance year over year. As a special note, they have been chosen to represent the state of Georgia and the United States of America in the 2026 London New Year s Day parade among numerous accolades. Statement of Program Service Accomplishments, Line #29-The Drum Majors-The drum majors of the Jonesboro Majestic Marching Cardinals play an essential and multifaceted role in the success and public image of the band. Serving as the primary liaison between the band members and the director, they provide critical direction, relay instructions,and ensure efficient communication. Their leadership fosters teamwork, boosts morale, and upholds discipline during rehearsals and performances.Beyond their leadership responsibilities, the drum majors are also exemplary student scholars,maintaining an impressive overall GPA above 3.8 despite the rigorous demands of their performance schedule. Their dedication and excellence have led the band to national recognition. In 2024,they appeared in the Apple Super Bowl commercial featuring R&B artist Usher and were personally invited by First Lady Jill Biden to perform at the White House Easter Egg Roll. They also delivered a captivating performance in the world-renowned Macy???s Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York City and performed a halftime show for the New Orleans Saints. In recognition of their outstanding achievements, the Majestic Marching Cardinals were honored with the inaugural ESPN s High School Band of the Year award. These highlights, among many other prestigious performances and appearances, reflect the exceptional leadership,commitment, and talent of the drum majors, who continue to elevate the band???s legacy on both national and historic stages. Statement of Program Service Accomplishments, Line #30-The Majestic Dancing Dolls, which is a three-time Superior-rated dance team has consistently earned top honors and national recognition. They have proudly represented our school, community, and culture on some of the world???s most prominent stages. In 2024 alone, they performed at the White House Easter Egg Roll, appeared in the Usher Super Bowl commercial, and marched in the Chicago Thanksgiving Day Parade. Since November 2024, their momentum has only grown. They performed in the iconic 2024 Macy???s Thanksgiving Day Parade and had the distinguished honor of opening for the Radio City Music Hall Rockettes Christmas Spectacular. They also performed during the New Orleans Saints Halftime Show, were featured in Lyrik London???s short film Cowboy Carter, and were named ESPN???s Inaugural High School Band of the Year???a historic and groundbreaking achievement for their full program.”
