Northern Ohio District Export Council

“The Northern Ohio District Export Council (NODEC) supported several internaitonal trade and export-specific programs during the fiscal year (July 1, 2024 - June 30, 2025). Two of the events were organized by CS Cleveland and CS Toledo. The in-person events held in Toledo covered Getting Paid in Global Markets for Export Sales seminar and awarding two Export Achievement Certificates to local exporters along with Congresswoman Macy Kapturs staff. NODEC also participated in a webinar, hosted by DEC member Star USA to highlight CS Services to a large audience. By far the largest event NODEC sponsored and helped organize was the Export Compliance Roadshow in Cleveland, Ohio in September 2024. This two-day seminar featured industry experts and specialists from several U.S. government agencies, including the Department of States Office of Defense Trade Controls, Census, Treasury, U.S. Custom and Border Protection, the Bureau of Industry and Security, and the U.S. Commercial Service. By attending this seminar, U.S. companies learned about the tools they need to stay abreast of their export compliance requirements. Approximately 70 people attended the two-day event. NODEC sent several members to the Global Target 20th Anniversary Ceremony and Graduation and supported CS Clevelands Business Opportunities in SE Europe roundtable featuring a Foreign Service Officer in Cleveland. The SE Europe event was held at DEC member Team NEOs facility. NODEC sent several members to the National DEC Conference (NADEC) in May and had several of those members featured on panels during the event. NODEC also encouraged and supported a member of the NADEC Steering Committee. NODEC conducted two full DEC meeetings including one each in Toledo and a joint meet with NODEC/SODEC in Columbus, as well as two meetings of the executive committee during the year. Finally, NODEC continued to support the ohiodec.org website which provides an international trade calendar for the entire state of Ohios exporting eco-systems.”
