Mission
At drive forward, we believe independent drivers are critical to the success of rideshare and app-based delivery services. Our goal is to support independent driver's businesses through education and advocacy. By educating and empowering our members we give all drivers a voice to help shape their communities and keep washington in motion.
To shape the future of seattle by supporting and advocating for independent drivers, riders, and member organizations.

DUE TO THE PANDEMIC THE ORGANIZATION CONTINUED TO HOLD COMMUNITY BUILDING EVENTS IN A VIRTUAL FORMAT USING VIDEOCONFERENCING, ONLINE WEBINAR SOFTWARE, AND OTHER DIGITAL TOOLS TO REACH OUR MEMBERS AND TARGET AUDIENCES.DRIVE FORWARD BEGAN DISTRIBUTING FREE PPE TO APP-BASED GIG-WORKERS BEGINNING IN DECEMBER 2020, WE PARTNERED WITH UBER TO BECOME A PPE DISTRIBUTION CENTER FOR THEIR DRIVERS ALONGSIDE DISTRIBUTION TO ALL OTHER GIG-WORKERS. TO DO THIS WE HIRED FOUR PART-TIME WORKERS AND PURCHASED PPE SUPPLIES INCLUDING FACE MASKS, HAND SANITIZER, AND DISINFECTANT SPRAY. WE SERVED MORE THAN 1000 DRIVERS THROUGH THIS PROGRAM. |
