“In May 2018, the Astrodome Conservancy Board of Directors approved an amendment to the organization's bylaws expanding the maximum number of sitting board members at any given time from 18 to 30. This move was predicated on a desire to grow the organization and to ensure diversity among board members and leadership.”

“The Form is reviewed by the Executive Director and presented to the governing body prior to filing.”

“The conflict of interest policy is monitored by having each Board Member sign a statement once a year affirming that they have read, understood and agreed to comply with the policy. Any potential conflicts are reviewed by all disinterested board members in accordance with the policy.”

“Compensation for the executive director is based on similar work performed by similarly experienced professionals in the Houston non-profit community, taking into account that no benefits (employment taxes, health/life insurance, retirement accounts, etc.) are provided by the Astrodome Conservancy.”

“"Domecoming event, held on the 53rd anniversary of the opening event in the Astrodome, invited the general public inside the Astrodome one final time before renovations and redevelopment begin to transform the Astrodome into a new public venue and profitable facility for Harris County. The Astrodome Conservancy also engaged in a year-long strategic planning process to guide the direction and programming of the organization for the next three years. The resulting Astrodome Conservancy Strategic Plan, 2019 - 2021, outlines specific objectives, goals, strategies, and tactics for building the capacity and impact of the Astrodome Conservancy as we work towards our mission.”
