SESECs primary activities include 1 monthly coalition meetings 2 Family Engagement Survey 3 Advocacy and Policy Cohorts 4 the Data Project and 5 Seeking Educational Equity and Diversity SEED Project.

We convene community based and school partners to develop collaborations and broaden and deepen relationships with stakeholders. We serve as an information connection hub, support communities of color to be actively engaged, and educate funders and the education community about potential investments in communities in color. A total of 12 sessions were held with aggregate attendance of 360 people.

IRS990/ProgSrvcAccomActy2Grp/Desc0Advoacacy and Policy Cohorts APC - APC immerses community leaders and parents/guardians in discussions that demystify educational policies, prepares them to be more effective advocates and develops leadership skills to heighten participation in school councils and other civic forums. Since its inception, APC has held 5 cohorts serving approximately 55 participants. Two cohorts were held that met for 10 sessions per cohort. A total of 25 individuals enrolled in the two cohorts.

The EEE project hosted 3 community speaker events with a total attendance of 260 individuals.
