Mission

We believe in creating opportunity by building a network of community organizations nonprofits entrepreneurs small business owners and community members to revitalize under-resourced neighborhoods using an empowerment-based model of community engagement to bring renewal and restoration. Our model focuses on five key areas that define a thriving neighborhood: economic development housing health education and spiritual care. We are bringing businesses churches nonprofits and individuals together to make sure all our families and all our neighborhoods have access to each of these key areas.

Square Mile Community Development's purpose is to bring holistic and innovative development projects to our most neglected and underserved neighborhoods through collaborative and empowerment based community partnerships. We believe in creating opportunity by building a network of community organizations, non-profits, entrepreneurs, small business owners, and community members to revitalize under-resourced neighborhoods using an empowerment based model of community engagement to bring renewal and restoration.

The Urban Farm project grew and provided over 6 thousand pounds of organic greens and produce to a low income neighborhood classified as a USDA food desert. Physical improvements were made to the property to increase both function and aesthetic value to the community.$0$6,000
