“Perryton rodeo association organizes and puts on rodeos that advance the sport of rodeo for amateur participants and spectators from the general public in a manner that is not for profit of any shareholder or member. Pra is not focused on promoting the recreational or social interest of its members or any private interests. Secondly, the rodeos are produced to expressly include youth allowing them to engage in a positive, athletic and learning experience. Pra events foster the learning and honing of practical life skills in participants. Thirdly, the rodeo events are organized and executed in a positive way to bring people and activity to the local community. Perryton is a very small town and it's activities are intended to and do improve the local community from an economic and social welfare perspective. The additional people drawn into town for the events bring relief to many struggling businesses due to a recent downturn of economic activity in the area.”

“A rodeo and bullfighting event were hosted in august of 2024 . They were held during the perryton tx annual wheatheart celebration. Over 2,300 spectators attended the two nights of rodeo activities. The event drew many people from outside the local area to our town. Additionally, there were participants and stock contractors in town also. It did include a large number of youth and brought people in to town to help spur the local economy at local retailers and restaurants.”
