DescriptionGrantsExpenses
Delta Focus is FABRIC Inc.'s health outreach program dedicated to addressing health disparities and reducing stigma surrounding high-impact conditions such as HIV, STIs, and cancer in the Mississippi Delta. In 2024, the program placed a strategic emphasis on engaging churches and communities of faith as critical partners in health equity. Through focus groups, documentary screenings, community discussions, and tailored outreach, Delta Focus reached and served well over 500 (estimated) individuals. The program also successfully recruited eight members to form a Faith Advisory Team, which will help guide future engagement strategies. The long-term goals of Delta Focus include developing a sustainable pipeline of Health & Faith Ambassadors, supporting rural churches in launching health ministries, and securing diverse funding sources to provide training and mini grants for faith-based institutions committed to advancing community health.$61,000$25,537
InHERstrength is a women's health and empowerment initiative of FABRIC Inc. designed to support the physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being of women, particularly those attending HBCUs and living across the Mississippi Delta. The program offers a space for education, connection, and healing through community-based gatherings, health workshops, and faith strengthening. In 2024, InHERstrength partnered with another organization to host this signature event in the heart of the Delta. The inaugural women's summit successfully served more than 60 (estimate) women through interactive mental health sessions, group discussions, coaching, and resource sharing. The long-term goal of InHERstrength is to host HMHY annually, while also expanding its reach through quarterly women's health gatherings throughout Delta communities. These smaller events will bring culturally responsive care, education, and guidance directly to women where they live, helping to build a stronger, more connected network of support.$4,000$3,435
Your Voice Zone is a civic engagement and leadership development initiative of FABRIC Inc. that empowers young adults ages 18-30 to become active participants in civic life. Through educational workshops, and peer-led discussions, participants explore topics such as advocacy, social justice, policy, and civic responsibility. In 2024, the program served over 40 young adults (an estimate), primarily from underrepresented communities, and provided gift cards to each participant as an incentive and support. The program helps equip participants with the knowledge and confidence to serve as informed voters, effective advocates, and emerging community leaders. A key goal for 2025 is to recruit four Your Voice Zone Ambassadors from colleges and universities in the Mississippi Delta region, expanding the program's impact and deepening its leadership pipeline. The long-term goal of the initiative is to increase the representation of diverse young leaders in decision-making spaces such as public office, community boards, and grassroots movements.$1,000$1,181
