“- alaska charr future hospitality leaders program is a charitable organization that supports culinary arts programs in high schools across alaska. Our mission is to support educators and students by facilitating industry donations (of time and product) to programs, industry involvement (volunteering with individual programs and at our annual prostart competition), and by hosting trainings for students and educators.”

“In fy18, alaska charr fhlp was able to host a statewide culinary arts competition for students enrolled in our program. New in fy18, we were able to have career booths for students to visit. This was an all day event with more than 50 students, 50 industry members, and 20 volunteers. We also had guest speakers and tour opportunities. We certified 14 students with their servsafe certification an industry level certification that helps students get jobs in the hospitality industry. Last, we also helped 3 educators travel to the lower 48 to receive industry training. While in the lower 48 they learned a variety of skills which they will bring back to their programs and use to teach their prostart program.”
