Any Director who has a financial, personal, or official interest in, or conflict (or appearance of a conflict) with any other matter pending before the Board, of such nature that it prevents or may prevent that Director from acting on the matter in an impartial manner, will offer to the Board to voluntarily excuse herself or himself and will vacate her or his seat and/or refrain from the discussion and voting on said item. This Director may be allowed to leave the room during which time said vote takes place and will be allowed to return to the meeting once the matter in question has been resolved and all votes have been cast and counted. If, in the event that removal of a Director for the matter will prevent a quorum vote, then the matter at hand must be delayed until a quorum can be met to make a definitive ruling on the issue.

Financial Statement Notes

Part X : FIN48 Footnote

Income Taxes Hearing the Call, Inc. is a nonprofit organization exempt from federal income tax under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code and qualifies for the 60% charitable contribution limitation for 2024 and 2023. The Organization has adopted FASB ASC 740-10-25 and determined no material unrecognized tax benefits or liabilities exist as of December 31, 2024. The adoption of FASB ASC 740-10-25 did not impact the Organization's financial position or results of operations. If applicable, the Organization will recognize interest and penalties related to underpayment of income taxes as income tax expense. As of December 31, 2024 and 2023, respectively, the Organization had no amounts related to unrecognized income tax benefits and no amounts related to accrued interest and penalties. The Organization does not anticipate any significant changes to unrecognized income tax benefits over the next year. The Organization is generally no longer subject to examination by Federal and State agencies for years before 2021.

IRS990/Desc0Hearing the Call (HTC) is a fundraising organization that supports international humanitarian trips and domestic humanitarian efforts. In the United States, HTC enables for-profit audiology practices to broaden their reach to income eligible families by providing a platform for tax deductible fundraising to break down the barriers to affordable hearing healthcare. Funds raised may be used to conduct hearing clinics, subsidize reduced fees charged locally to income eligible patients or for other qualified, hearing related charitable purposes. Domestic humanitarian efforts expanded to 38 non-profit projects that provide access to hearing health care to income eligible families in 22 states in the United States from partnering with 44 independent private audiology practices. IRS990ScheduleD/SupplementalInformationDetail/ExplanationTxt0Income Taxes Hearing the Call, Inc. is a nonprofit organization exempt from federal income tax under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code and qualifies for the 60% charitable contribution limitation for 2024 and 2023. The Organization has adopted FASB ASC 740-10-25 and determined no material unrecognized tax benefits or liabilities exist as of December 31, 2024. The adoption of FASB ASC 740-10-25 did not impact the Organization's financial position or results of operations. If applicable, the Organization will recognize interest and penalties related to underpayment of income taxes as income tax expense. As of December 31, 2024 and 2023, respectively, the Organization had no amounts related to unrecognized income tax benefits and no amounts related to accrued interest and penalties. The Organization does not anticipate any significant changes to unrecognized income tax benefits over the next year. The Organization is generally no longer subject to examination by Federal and State agencies for years before 2021.
