Mission

Imprint hope aims to raise awareness, break down barriers and overcome the stigma that children with disabilities face on a daily bais through fostering hope, educating communities and providing holistic rehabilitation.

Imprint hope has plans for a community based medical and rehabilitation center located in uganda. The center will be staffed by doctors and allied health professional to provide outpatient services,preventive services, education and emergency care that will be offered free of charge

THESE PROGRAMS FOCUS ON INFORMING THE COMMUNITY ABOUT THE VARIOUS TYPES OF DISABILITIES, EDUCATING ON TREATMENT STRATEGIES AND PROVIDING MEDICAL/REHABILITATIVE RESOURCES FOR FAMILIES TO SEEK SUPPORT. NEEDS ASSESSMENT FROM THE VERY PRIMITIVE STAGE OF LIFE, CHILDREN WITH DISABILITIES IN UGANDA ARE ABUSED AND NEGLECTED, BASED UPON PARENT'S LACK OF KNOWLEDGE, UNDERSTANDING OR CAPACITY TO TAKE CARE OF THEIR SPECIAL NEEDS. THERE IS AN ONGOING PRESENCE OF STIGMATIZING ATTITUDES, WHERE CHILDREN WITH DISABILITES ARE DISRGARDED. IMPRINT HOPE ADDRESSES THE PRESENT STIGMATIZING ATTITUDES BY DISCOVERING POTENTIAL, FOSTERING DIGNITY AND EMPOWERING PURPOSE FOR ALL CHILDREN WITH DISABILITIES IN UGANDA STATISTICS ILLUMINTING THE NEED FOR IMPRINT HOPE'S PRESENCE IN UGANDA: 2.5 MILLION CHILDREN ARE LIVING WITH A DISABILITY IN UGANDA (UNICEF 2014) ONLY 9% OF SPECIAL NEEDS SCHOOL-AGE CHILDREN ATTEND PRIMARY SCHOOL ONLY 6% OF SPECIAL NEEDS SCHOOL-AGE CHILDREN ATTEND SECONDARY SCHOOL 90% OF MOTHERS ENROLLED IN IMPRINT HOPE'S PROGRAM HAVE NOT COMPLETED A 2ND GRADE EDUCATION LEVEL (IMPRINT HOPE PROGRAM STATISTIC) 60% OF MOTHERS ENROLLED IN IMPRINT HOPE'S PROGRAM ARE SINGLE MOTHERS PATIENT EDUCATION OR ELIGIBILITY FOR ASSISTANCE IMPRINT HOPE PROVIDES SERVICES AND PROGRAMS IN TWO DISTRICTS OF EASTERN UGANDA. IMPRINT HOPE CONDUCTS A NEEDS AND VULNERABILITY ASSESSMENT TO DETERMINE ELIGIBILITY INTO IMPRINT HOPE'S PROGRAM. UPON MEETING THE NECESSARY CRITERIA, IMPRINT HOPE PROVIDES EACH CHILD WITH INTNESIVE PHYSICAL AND OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY, ORTHOPEDIC EQUIPMENT, AND NUTRITIONAL AND MEDICAL SUPPORT PER THEIR NEEDS; INVOLVING THE MOTHER ACTIVELY IN EACH OF THESE INTERVENTIONS, SO THAT THEY GAIN THE SKILLS AND CONFIDENCE TO CONTINUE CARE FOR THEIR CHILD ONCE THEY RETURN HOME. IMPRINT HOPE HAS DEVELOPED A UNIQUE PROGRAM MODEL THAT FOCUSES ON QUALITY OF SERVICES AND DEPTH OF IMPACT BY PRIORITIZING GENUINE RELATIONSHIPS AND EARNING TRUST TO ACCOMPANY FAMILIES ON THEIR JOURNEY TRANSFORMATION. MICROFINANCE PROGRAM - IMPRINT HOPE IMPLEMENTS A MICROFINANCE PROGRAM TO EMPLOWER FAMILITES TO ACCESS THE RESOURCES THEY NEED TO CARE FOR THEIR CHILDREN WITHOUT CREATING DEPENDENCY ON OUTSIDE AID. 4.
