“Minutes are kept in a Google document in our Bonita Family Resource Drive, in which the founder, president and secretary have access to. In our monthly board meeting, we as a board review our previous minutes and if we agree as a board, the president and a second member approve what was discussed. when we meet our designated secretary takes notes to keep track of what was said that day.”
“In order to review and approve 900, our founder, president, treasurer and secretary will have a meeting and discuss the organization's financial report and breakdown the finances that came and went during that year.”
“*Before board or committee action on the Agreement or Transaction involving a Conflict of Interest, a director or committee memeber having a Conflict of Interest and who is in attendance at the meeting shall disclose all facts material to the Conflict of Inerest. Such disclosure shall be reflected in the minutes of the meeting. *A director or committee member who plans not to attend a meeting at which he or she has reason to believe that the board or committee will act on a matter in which the person has a Conflict of Interest shall disclose to the chair of the meeting all facts material to the Conflict of Interest. The chair shall report the disclosure at the meeting and the disclosure shall be reflected in the minutes of the meeting. *A person who has a Conflict of Interest shall not participate in or be permitted to hear the boards or committee's discussion of the matter except to disclose material facts and to respond to questions. Such a person shall not attempt to exert his or her personal influence with respect to the matter, either at or outside the meeting. *A person who has a Conflict of Interest with respect to an Agreement or Transaction that will be voted on at a meeting shall not be counted in determining the presence of a quorum for the purposes of the vote. The person having a Conflict of Interest may not vote on the Agreement or Transaction and shall not be present in the meeting room when the vote is taken, unless the vote is by secret ballot. Such a person is ineligibility to vote shall be reflected in the minutes of the meeting. For purposes of this paragraph, a member of the board of directors of Bonita Family Resource Center has a Conflict of Interest when he or she stands for election as an officer or for re-election as a member of the board of directors. *Responsible Persons who are not members of the board of directors of BFRC, or who have a Conflict of Interest with respect to an Agreement or Transaction that is not the subject of board or committee action, shall disclose to the Chair or the Chair's designee any Conflict of Interest that such Responsible Person has with respect to an Agreement or Transaction. Such disclosure shall be made as soon as the Conflict of Interest is known to the Responsible Person.”

“Organization description: Bonita Family Resource Center (BFRC) is a nonprofit organization that helps low-income families and youth with access to some of the self-sufficiency programs-MediCal and SNAP (Supplimental Nutrition Assistance Program) and Covered California, low-cost health insurance under the Affordable Care Act. BFRC has been the hub of San Diego and Imperial Valley for social services to become more impactful in providing information and access to resources in person or virtually. And promote physical activity and healthy eating to improve the health among people, including the Spanish-speaking community and other minority groups. 4a. Between both offices, one located in National City, CA and the second one located in El Centro, CA, the Bonita Family Resource Center in 2022 assisted about 15,000 people in person or virtually. Our programs included access to some of the self-sufficiency programs, MediCal, SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program), and Covered California. BFRC's educational programs included nutrition information and housing counseling. Due to the continuous and constantly increasing partnership with other organizations in the areas we serve, our consumers additionally benefited from referrals to other programs and services not offered by our organization, such as free tax services, food distribution centers, mental health access, drug and alcohol abuse, free phone lines, and homeless shelters.”
