Mission

Developing, furnishing and operating a park and related recreational and educational facilities for public use and any and all related charitable purposes; including, but not limited to, green spaces, local heritage exhibit, event spaces, nature museum, walking and biking trails, playgrounds and fund raising related thereto.

The corporation is organized exclusively for developing, furnishing and maintaining a park, recreational facilities and public works for the public good and any and all related charitable purposes, including, for such purposes, the making of distributions to organizations that qualify as exempt organizations under irc section 501(c)(3).

On 11/6/17, the city commission of the city of lakeland adopted a resolution to vacate certain public rights of way and transfer ownership of 2 parcels to windsong park. The rights of way and parcels are adjacent to the property that will be used for the development of the park that will be known as bonnet springs park. The city commission determined that it was in the best interests of the citizens of the city of lakeland to approve this transfer. The total value of the property, as provided by the city of lakeland, is $88,715.
