The Budget Committee Assesses the Feasibility of Increasing Compensation for Ministers In Consultation With the Treasurer. 4. Boston Grace Presbyterian Church Provides Its Governing Documents Conflicts of Interest Policies and Financial Statements to the Public Upon Request.”

“The Official Budget Committee of Boston Grace Presbyterian Church is responsible for determining monitoring reviewing and approving the compensation of ministers with guidance from the Treasurer. The Treasurer and Internal Auditor engage in a monthly budget monitoring and approval process and the approved budgets are printed and made available to all church members. Annually the Budget Committee reviews and adjusts minister compensation. The Junior Pastor resigned and left the church during FY2024. His compensation was terminated upon the governing bodys receipt of his resignation.”

“Every month the official auditor elders and treasurer gather to ensure the church is operating in compliance with strict rules and regulations meeting all state and federal requirements including financial matters. The church maintains printed governing documents available for all members to access. Additionally the treasurer undergoes a monthly auditing process with the churchs internal auditor to ensure all expenditures are thoroughly reviewed. Approved documents are then printed and made available to all members. For the financial documents we follow this order: 1. Everyone must fill out an invoice along with the grant details name of the recipient why how what how much etc.. 2. The invoice must be signed by the churchs treasurer and a designated church leader or elder. 3. Once approved the treasurer can either issue a check transfer money via Zelle or Wire or withdraw cash. 4. Send money and digitally attach the payment receipt with the invoice. 5. Save it in the BGPC Dropbox folder. 6. Upload the information in Quicken 7. Internal Audit Staff one of the designated church staff elders to review all the invoices and receipts. 8. Present in front of entire church members at the end of the year.”
