Basic research; intern'l collaboration, education, health and environmental awareness the intern'l earthlight alliance (iea) employs a unique approach to stimulate student and public interest and curiousity about science. Iea investigates high visability but little understood anomalies as a learning vehicle using rigorous scientific methodology and state of the art tech- nology, iea continues to investigate diverse areas of public interest that are often neglected by mainstream science among these areas are lands where measurable geophysical anomalies exist such as sacred sites , earthlight areas and geopathic zones. Health issues at some of these anomalous geophysical sites are under study. Additionally, temporal anomalies preceding seismic activity, both geophysical and animal behavior, is part of iea's environmental studies.

| IEA'S 2017 PROGRAM CONSISTS OF SEVERAL FACETS UNDER A GOAL OF EDUCATING THE PUBLIC ABOUT INTERACTIONS WITH THE ENVIRONMENT IN WHICH WE LIVE. THE RESEARCH IS A MULTIVARIATE SYSTEM CONSISTING OF SEVERAL SIMULTANEOUS EFFORTS, INTERRELATED UNDER ONE UMBRELLA. FOR INSTANCE, HEALTH, GEOPHYSICS, MAGNETIC AND ELECTROMAGNETIC FIELDS, WEATHER, AND EVEN EARTHQUAKE FORECASTING MAY ALL BE INTERRELATED. THE ENVIRONMENTAL MEASUREMENTS IEA RECORDS IS A SINGLE PROGRAM THAT RELATES SIMULTANEOUSLY TO EACH FACET OF THE RESEARCH. 2017 EFFORTS WERE FOCUSED ON EXPANDING THE GEOPHYSICAL RESEARCH ACTIVITIES, MAINTAINING ONGOING RESEARCH, AND COLLABORATING WITH LIKE MINDED ORGANIZATIONS TO FURTHER IEA'S OBJECTIVES.NEW ELECTRICAL FIELD SENSORS CONTINUED TO BE ADDED TO MONITOR AND RECORD ACTIVITY OF THE GEOPATHIC ZONE. AN ADDITIONAL COMPARATIVE SENSOR WAS PLACED IN THE NE RESEARCH ZONE. WE CONTINUE TO RECORD COLOR CHANGES PRIOR TO LARGE MAGNITUDE EARTHQUAKES. WE CONTINUE TO OPERATE DIRECTIONAL INFRA RED SENSORS IN THESE ZONES. IN EXCESS OF AN ADDITIONAL HALF MILLION NIGHTLY PHOTOGRAPHS MONITORING THE ABOVE SENSOR ACTIVITY HAVE BEEN RECORDED. DATA LOGGERS ATTACHED TO EF SENSORS LAST YEAR CONTINUE TO RECORD ACTUAL VALUES IN ADDITION TO THE EXPLORATORY OPTICAL OBSERVATIONS. THIS YEAR MORE EF SENSORS WERE ADDED AS A THIRD DIMENSION TO THE ELECTRICAL FIELD SENSOR GRID.TWO SIGNIFICANT ACCOMPLISHMENTS WERE MADE IN EDUCATING THE PUBLIC ON THE BIOLOGICAL EFFECTS OF ELECTROMAGNETIC FIELDS. IEA PRESIDENT, MARSHA ADAMS, ORGANIZED A SESSION AT THE SSE MEETING HELD AT YALE UNIVERSITY. SHE BROUGHT TOGETHER THE LEADING RESEARCHER IN THE FIELD, PROFESSOR MARTIN PALL (UNIVERISTY OF OREGON EMERITUS), AND A LEADING BUILDING BIOLOGIST, LARRY GUST, TO GIVE PRESENTATIONS. ADAMS WAS THE SESSION CHAIR AND ALSO GAVE A PRESENTATION DURING THE SESSION. THE PRESENTATIONS WERE FOLLOWED BY A LIVELY PANEL DISCUSSION WITH SCIENTISTS AND PROFESSORS IN THE SSE. IT IS HOPED THEY WILL DISSEMINATE THE INFORMATION TO THEIR COLLEAGUES AND STUDENTS. ADAMS ALSO ASSISTED IN PUBLICIZING THE MEETING.PRESENTATION AT YALE DESCRIBED HOW A BUILDING CAN AFFECT EQUIPMENT, APPLIANCES AND HEALTH. ADDITIONALLY, HOW CHRONIC EXPOSURE TO ORDINARY APPLIANCES CAN AFFECT HEALTH. | $0 | $125,150 |
