“Regular membership a regular member is any individual who has remitted full payment of monthly dues or their equivalent as well as any assessments or any other payments owed prior to the last business day of each month and is: (1) employed in a bargaining unit for which the union is the recognized bargaining agent for matters relating to wages, hours and other term and conditions of employment and has not declined membership, (2) a health care worker covered by a service agreement between seiu 775 and another seiu union, or (3) a union officer or employee of seiu 775 who is not represented for the purposes of collective bargaining by another union. By action of the executive board of seiu 775, the following individuals may be admitted to regular membership: persons employed by the union's benefit funds and other union-sponsored organizations, any worker who is actively engaged in an organizing campaign seeking recognition for seiu 775 as the exclusive bargaining representative, and officers or employees of seiu international. Only regular members enjoy certain rights, such as the right to vote, hold union office and file charges before a trial body. Associate membership associate membership is membership available to other persons who support the mission, vision and values of seiu 775 but cannot meet the criteria of regular membership. Associate members must remit full payment of monthly dues or their equivalent as well as any assessments or any other payments owed prior to the last business day of each month. Associate members enjoy certain rights but may not hold elected union office, vote, or file charges before a trial body.”

“Salary of the ceo/president is voted on by the executive board every year at a regularly scheduled meeting. Salaries of non managerial staff are subject to collective bargaining. Salaries of management staff were set on a scale established by market research through an independent consultant.”

“The organizations governing documents, conflict of interest policy and financial statements are available to members upon request. These documents are not available to the general public as the union is exempt under irc section 501(c)(5) and not irc section 501(c)(3).”
