The cascade county law clinic (cclc) provides pro bono legal representation to qualified individuals in the cascade county area. Private attorneys volunteer their time to represent low income individuals and families in matters of family law & landlord/tenant issues.

Officer directors etc family relationship Part VI line 2

Directors benjamin h. Myers, cpa & meghan lulf sutton, esq are married. They serve on the board together. Mr. Myers is the treasurer who prepares monthly financial statements, payroll tax returns and the year end form 990 for the law clinic. Mr. Myers and ms. Sutton disclosed their relationship before the board voted to accept him on it.

Form 990 governing body review Part VI line 11

Ben myers, cpa prepares the form 990 and submits it to the board for approval. All members of the board review the tax return. The board will then discuss any issues raised and the tax return will be e-filed with the irs after the board votes to accept the tax return.

Conflict of interest policy compliance Part VI line 12C

The cclcs conflict of interest policy ensures nonprofit decisions are made in the organizations best interest, free from personal gain. Board members and staff must disclose any interests that could conflict with the nonprofits operations. The governance committee reviews these to determine if theres a significant conflict. If so, the individual may be asked to recuse themselves from related discussions or votes. Disclosures and actions are documented for transparency. Board members and key staff complete annual disclosure forms, and the organization monitors changes in affiliations to identify new conflicts. This policy is crucial for maintaining integrity and alignment with the nonprofits mission.
