MH7 $8,608 (total) has served 2,811 persons. Our Community Narcan Response Team distributes Narcan, connects individuals to services, provides free training, transportation to long term Programs, Medical and Detox facilities. Feeding homeless people with freshly prepared nourishing meals and emergency housing in inclement or freezing weather, meet people on the street day and night to evaluate and provide necessities such as tents, clothing, hygiene products, and first aid operation. Since 2005, AVITWEC has effectively recovered assisted and served those trapped in the trenches. Operation MH7 is the culmination of our efforts. Although those we serve are predominantly women and children, men are not exempt. Serving is not what A Voice in the Wilderness founder and visionary Ramona D. Miller does but who she is Ms. Miller is a proud United States Army veteran and exercises her exceptional mapping ability to reach, identify, and recover those who require critical intervention and services. With over 25 years of experience in Human Services, Ms. Miller creates and implements innovative models that have resulted in excellent and expected outcomes. She is on the front lines fighting to eradicate human trafficking and to end the national opioid crisis and has been featured in many investigative reports for her instrumental role in the community. Trapped in the Trenches : $5,477 has served 695 persons. We are committed to eradicating, empowering, and eradicating the epidemics that have plagued Florida. We are restoring individuals, veterans, children, and families who have fallen through the cracks. Many are experiencing addiction, exploitation, and homelessness and are Trapped in the Trenches. Identifying and recovering those who have fallen through the cracks became Trapped and Invisible due to, but not limited to, addiction, homelessness, abuses, exploitation, untreated mental health diagnosis, and human trafficking . Outreach is a job to bring awareness that happens from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. We work during the most critical hours what we call "Trench Work". Trench Work is a calling to bring change NOW. An Emmy Award was given for the video revealing the hidden world of human trafficking . We also produced Fair Community Outreach Training and events. A Voice in the Wilderness Empowerment has been featured in three magazines and the founder ,Ramona D Miller, was named a community hero. A Voice in the Wilderness Empowerment Center is a part of a National Coalition to fight the opioid crisis.$0$5,979
Family Assistance and Stay Alive and Thrive: $1,945.00 Persons served 4,987. We are committed to educating empowering and eradicating the epidemics that have plagued Florida. We are restoring individuals, veterans, children, and families who have fallen through the cracks. Stay Alive and Thrive Health Inspired Victory Initiative and Outreach was created and implemented to bring critical health services to at-risk communities. Stay Alive removes the stigma and fears by mobilizing preventative health services. AVITWEC was issued a CLIA waiver to provide free and confidential testing for HIV, hepatitis C and other STDs (sexually transmitted diseases) in at-risk neighborhoods and communities. Voice also provides free condoms and lubricants to those who are sexually active. Unlike the traditional condom trail, Ms. Miller goes into the local hotels, motels, runaway bunkers, and even abandoned houses to distribute condoms.$0$1,945
