EXEMPT PURPOSE: POVERTEES, DBA RESIDENCY, IS A NON-PROFIT SOCIAL ENTERPRISE THAT PROVIDES EMPLOYMENT TO INDIVIDUALS TRANSITIONING OUT OF HOMELESSNESS TO WORK WITHIN A SUPPORTIVE COMMUINITY. WE PURSUE THIS GOAL THROUGH EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES FOR WOMEN THAT ARE TRANSITIONING OFF THE STREETS OF DOWNTOWN LOS ANGELES, AND BY PROVIDING A SUPPORTIVE COMMUNITY THAT ALLOWS THEM THE CHANCE TO HELP THEMSELVES AND IN TURN HELP OTHERS. .We sustained supportive employment for 1 individual, over 1,100 hours of employment, as we transition her now into full-time staff. They work to continue to provide and support themselves now in the present and better their opportunities for the future. Our supportive employment also incorporates paid tutoring for our employee(s) that choose to utilize the program (which our employee did nearly every week), financial training on personal finances and guidance as they seek to navigate accrued debt from their time during their experience with homelessness, and other holistic support as they continue to navigate this new chapter in life. .We engaged with hundreds of supporters, donors, and businesses about the problems surrounding homelessness and in turn providing them with deeper insight into the complexity of said issues..We significantly grew our Wholesale platform (nearly doubled) that allows us to work and partner with businesses to provide them with the branded merchandise they need. In turn, this allows them the opportunity to practice a greater Corporate Social Responsibility, by partnering with us and directly supporting jobs for individuals transitioning out of homelessness.

IRS990ScheduleO/SupplementalInformationDetail/ExplanationTxt7EXEMPT PURPOSE: POVERTEES, DBA RESIDENCY, IS A NON-PROFIT SOCIAL ENTERPRISE THAT PROVIDES EMPLOYMENT TO INDIVIDUALS TRANSITIONING OUT OF HOMELESSNESS TO WORK WITHIN A SUPPORTIVE COMMUINITY. WE PURSUE THIS GOAL THROUGH EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES FOR WOMEN THAT ARE TRANSITIONING OFF THE STREETS OF DOWNTOWN LOS ANGELES, AND BY PROVIDING A SUPPORTIVE COMMUNITY THAT ALLOWS THEM THE CHANCE TO HELP THEMSELVES AND IN TURN HELP OTHERS. .We sustained supportive employment for 1 individual, over 1,100 hours of employment, as we transition her now into full-time staff. They work to continue to provide and support themselves now in the present and better their opportunities for the future. Our supportive employment also incorporates paid tutoring for our employee(s) that choose to utilize the program (which our employee did nearly every week), financial training on personal finances and guidance as they seek to navigate accrued debt from their time during their experience with homelessness, and other holistic support as they continue to navigate this new chapter in life. .We engaged with hundreds of supporters, donors, and businesses about the problems surrounding homelessness and in turn providing them with deeper insight into the complexity of said issues..We significantly grew our Wholesale platform (nearly doubled) that allows us to work and partner with businesses to provide them with the branded merchandise they need. In turn, this allows them the opportunity to practice a greater Corporate Social Responsibility, by partnering with us and directly supporting jobs for individuals transitioning out of homelessness.
