Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 11B

“The organization utilizes the services of an independent, CPA firm to prepare and file the Federal Form 990. The firm prepares an initial draft of the return and provides it to the entire Board of Directors for review and comment. After the return is reviewed and all questions and comments are addressed, the firm prepares the final 990 and provides it to the Board Treasurer and Executive Director for final approval. Upon final approval, the return is filed with the Internal Revenue Service.”

“The Chairman of the Board reviews and monitors the activities of the Executive Director. As part of this review process, the Board chair meets with the Executive Director to discuss compensation. Annual compensation is determined during the annual operating budget preparation process. Any change in compensation is presented in a formalized compensation packet for Board approval.”

The firm prepares an initial draft of the return and provides it to the entire Board of Directors for review and comment. After the return is reviewed and all questions and comments are addressed, the firm prepares the final 990 and provides it to the Board Treasurer and Executive Director for final approval. Upon final approval, the return is filed with the Internal Revenue Service.

As part of this review process, the Board chair meets with the Executive Director to discuss compensation. Annual compensation is determined during the annual operating budget preparation process. Any change in compensation is presented in a formalized compensation packet for Board approval.
