“Today's children are tomorrow's builders, teachers, scientists, doctors and firefighters. Today's children are tomorrow's heroes. Carriage hope is committed to providing care, help guidance, hope to low income and homeless families, children in our local communities through a team of dedicated volunteers. Our primary means of raising funds is through a thrift store, which offers a wide variety of clothing, housewares, electronics, books, cds and more to the local community, which is low income, at affordable prices. We use these funds and other donated funds to offer free items to customers who can demonstrate a financial need. Each qualified individual receives monthly allotment in the form of a cash credit, which they can redeem over the course of the month. We have helped many needy individuals replace broken household items, obtain school clothes and other items for their children, obtain appropriate clothing items for the season and for activities such as job interviews, and fill their new apartments with household items and small pieces of furniture. We have been offering these services since our founding in 2009. For years, we offered and organized piano, art, computer and tutoring classes, and we hope to reach a revenue level where we can provide these services again.”
