“To work with the new mexico office of the state engineer and the new mexico court sytem to obtain equitanle surface and underground water rights for all diversified farmers in the southern rio grande valley of new mexico to include all irrigated lands from caballo dam to the texas state line.”

“The southern rio grande diversified farmers association represented members concerning water right issue 101 before the third judicial district court of new mexico. The intial court settlement reached in 2011 has provided for 4.5 acre feet of adjudicated water rights - surface and underground - for all farm land owners in the southern riom grande area of southern new mexico. In addition , a provision was added by the court to allow all farmers to prove up to 5.35 acre feet of water rights if they had eveidence showing a use greater than or equal to that amount. The southern new mexico diversified farmers association has conductewd numerous hydrology studies to support water right claims of the members of the association. The water rights issues continues.”
