“To establish, maintain and operate a nonprofit facility for the use of individuals and groups seeking to recover from the abuse of alcohol and drugs, and of others impacted by such abuse, with a particular focus on those seeking help and guidance through twelve-step type programs. To provide such persons with a safe, comfortable, cost-free environment for fellowship, recovery and service to others similarly afflicted.”

“During the fiscal year, the organization operated and maintained the bainbridge recovery club, a facility that hosted many hundreds of individuals, including approximately twenty groups, of the type described in its principal purpose above. Individuals and groups use the facility seven days per week. Some groups meet weekly, others daily. Certain groups elect to open their meetings to persons who prefer to participate via remote access, for which the club provides internet service and appropriate audio-visual equipment. The club also maintains a separate area for persons, particularly youths, who wish to have a safe, comfortable place to meet informally for discussion and fellowship consonant with the principles of the program of recovery they are pursuing.”
