“The georgia micro enterprise network (gmen) is a nonprofit association that is a catalyst for economic development in georgia. Through its network of business development training and lending organizations(mdos), gmen serves as a resource to support and fund viable microbusinesses in an effort to create new jobs and business opportunities. Our motto is, bringing urban and rural businesses development together and our mission is to create opportunities and support for microbusiness development as an avenue for economic selfsufficiency in georgia. This is achieved by providing support for viable businesses, driving economic growth by creating selfsufficient individuals, contributing to sustainable economic development, creating new jobs, and implementing industry standards and accreditation.”

“Emergency rental assistance and housing stability program (gmen housing) gmen administers the emergency rental assistance program (erap) and the broader gmen housing initiative, which provides rental, utility, and security deposit assistance to georgia residents facing financial hardship. Through strategic partnerships with state and local agencies, gmen distributed funds to prevent homelessness and promote housing stability. Beyond direct assistance, gmen offers housing counseling, workforce readiness support, and financial literacy education, helping families rebuild economic security and transition from crisis to stability. These programs have collectively strengthened communities across georgia by addressing the intersection of housing, income, and opportunity.”

“Microenterprise development and small business technical assistance (gmen mdo & gmen grow) through its statewide network of microenterprise development organizations (mdos), gmen delivers training, technical assistance, and access to capital for emerging and established small businesses. The gmen mdo and gmen grow programs support entrepreneurs through customized business coaching, credit readiness training, and connections to financial institutions and investors. Gmen also manages statewide technical assistance contracts that strengthen nonprofit service providers and minority-owned businesses. Gmen's programs equipped entrepreneurs with tools to scale their businesses, increase revenues, and create jobs driving inclusive economic growth throughout georgia in urban, rural, and coastal regions.”

“Entrepreneurship and digital empowerment (empower by godaddy, rites project, gmen women, gmen men and gmen 360) gmen's entrepreneurship and digital inclusion programs empower by godaddy, the rites project (reentry, innovation, training, entrepreneurship, and support), gmen men, gmen women and gmen 360 advance equitable access to technology, education, and opportunity. These initiatives train men, women, returning citizens, rural, and underserved entrepreneurs in digital marketing, e-commerce, and business operations, with a focus on self- employment and reentry pathways. In 2023- 2024, both newly retuned and incarcerated learners participated in rites entrepreneurship courses, while empower by godaddy and gmen 360 cohorts gained real-world skills to strengthen their online presence and build sustainable enterprises. Collectively, these programs promote digital equity and economic self- sufficiency across georgia and the southeast.”
