Our mission is to support parents and care providers by providing information, education, and advocacy for Mother-Friendly childbirth.

Program Services

DescriptionGrantsExpenses
Birth Network of Santa Cruz Countys professional membership remains robust, contributing to our strong presence as a community resource. Our Board of Directors has expanded to eight members from six last year. Our free to parents Meet-the-Doula events have increased in number to include a Santa Cruz city event along with mid- and South Santa Cruz County locations. South County events are bilingual Spanish events. We continue to support and promote MediCal covered doulas. We work collaboratively with Birth Network of Monterey, Races y Cario, The Circle Family Center as well as the Breastfeeding Coalition and other County agencies to reach parents and professionals with information for healthy pregnancy, childbirth, lactation and parenting information and resources. We present Networking Lunches every other month to our professional members to explore pertinent topics, as well as periodic educational opportunities during the year.-$1,571
